Your evening fitness routine

If your day starts early in the morning, an evening workout might be the best option.

It is usually believed that exercising in the morning is the most beneficial. But just as a morning workout routine has its perks, there are also significant benefits of exercising in the evening: it might be surprising, but our performance level is better in the evening due to our muscles having already been flexed and warmed up throughout the day.


Moreover, working out after work can also help lower the stress accumulated during the day, get a clearer mind and enhance sleep quality. To sum up it can help make you feel fabulous INside-OUT, and that’s our favourite mojo at Kalon!



Because being consistent can be challenging after a busy day, we gathered our team’s best tips to help you optimise your evening fitness routine & stay motivated:



~ Plan your workouts: Prepare your 𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗲 at the beginning of the week & 𝘄𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻 which days will you be working out & which classes will you do.⁣ It will help you commit to your routine & avoid wasting time looking for a workout at the last minute.




~ Fuel your body⁣: 𝗘𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 “𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱” 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗼𝗵𝘆𝗱𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝘀 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝗰𝗹𝗲𝘀, which in turn boosts serotonin, which also has the added benefit of regulating your mood, help with digestion & improve sleep.⁣ Eat 𝗮 𝗳𝗲𝘄 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 your workout to give your body enough time to digest & generate energy.



~ Have a reward ready: Knowing that there's something 𝗳𝘂𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗮 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗼𝘂𝘁 will keep you motivated. Think about how amazing it will feel to relax, have a nice dinner or meet up with friends after you've showed up for your fitness routine.



Our co-founder Sophie selected her favourite classes from the Kalon app for an evening workout. If you are going for a more cardio class, we suggest to finish your class at least 1h before going to sleep to have time to cool down and recover.
