Valentine’s Day isn’t just for lovers…

By Isabella Logue

February 14th is a day when love is in the air—and on all of our social media feeds. But Valentine’s Day needn’t be for lovers only. Why not think of Valentine's as an opportunity to remind yourself how special you are? Whether or not you have a special someone to spend this holiday with, self-love is something that we prioritize year-round. Our mission is to uplift our clients’ confidence, both in body and mind. And while fitness is an important facet of self-care, we also recognize that sometimes you want something a little extra for the holiday.

With that in mind, here are five ways that you can treat yourself to something special this Valentine’s Day…

  1. Treat Yourself With a Special Gift

Kalon x Tiffany & Co.

As women, it can be hard to take a step back and appreciate all that we’ve achieved in our personal and professional lives. Daily responsibilities can distract us from taking regularly allotted time to appreciate all that we do for those around us. This Valentine’s Day is the perfect opportunity to celebrate your personal achievements.

We feel the most special when we look our best, and an easy way to give your everyday look an added touch of glamor is through chic accessories.

You may have seen our recent partnership with Tiffany & Co., which highlighted Team K as a representation of feminine strength through fitness and beauty—a combination unique to the glamorous world of showgirls. Next time you want to elevate your outfit, try treating yourself with an elegant piece of jewellery, and why not treat yourself to it this Valentine’s Day! Whether it’s a bracelet, necklace, or a pair of earrings, elegant and high quality pieces will never go out of style.

  1. Dinner With The Girls

Personal care doesn’t have to be solitary. If Valentine’s is about togetherness, then call up your favorite people! While Valentine’s dinner is often presumed to be a romantic affair, take the opportunity to celebrate the other people you love. Grab a nice bite with your closest friends at a favorite local bistro or place you’ve always wanted to try, but never quite carved out the time for!

And your night doesn’t have to begin at the restaurant. Remember, the getting-ready ritual can be just as rewarding as the main event. Take your time to relax and unwind—put on your favorite tunes and set the tone for the night ahead!

  1. Share a Kalon Class With Someone Special

Taking care of your physical wellness is an important part of prioritising and appreciating yourself. This Valentine’s Day, expand your wellness journey to include your special someone through our exclusive Valentine’s Day Offer!

Between February 10th and 14th, you can book a class and invite a loved one to join you for no additional cost! All you have to do is email us your guest’s details, including their name, email, and the date of their intended class. There is no better way to thank your body for all that it does for you than by providing it with the strength it needs to continue, and that is done through fitness and a positive mindset.

We encourage you to celebrate love this Valentine’s Day by sharing the fulfilling world of barre with your special person—and you might even get a laugh out of it!

This limited-time offer is only valid until February 28th, so grab your partner and get ready to sweat!

  1. A More Traditional Valentine’s

If you enjoy the more traditional trappings of this holiday, then stop passing by the flower market empty-handed and treat yourself with a fresh bouquet, or even that chocolate treat from the boulangerie. Self-love doesn’t have to be shown exclusively through big gifts or events. This Valentine’s Day, do something for yourself that you don’t typically dedicate the time to. It can be as simple as immersing yourself in the spirit of the holiday—pour yourself a glass of that wine you’ve been saving, curate a romantic playlist that backtracks a night of decorating your apartment with hearts and cupids, and make a sweet treat… You deserve it!

  1. Relax at the Spa

The demands and upheaves of daily life can often leave us feeling fatigued and unenergized. This Valentine’s Day, take time to rejuvenate your body’s largest (and often neglected) organ: the skin.

Like many of us, our facialiste friend Caroline Auguste worked as a professional showgirl at the iconic Lido de Paris for nearly twenty years. This glamorous job is met with an unglamorous reality comprised of long hours, constant sweating, and continuous applying and removing makeup.

Caroline used her personal experience as a blueprint for her technique, stating how, “each gesture is a choreography designed to sublimate the skin and the face. Each treatment is a tailor-made performance designed to illuminate and magnify the skin while telling a story of well-being and beauty.” So, pamper yourself this holiday with a relaxing facial!

If you are interested in booking a facial with Caroline, find her on Instagram at @caroline_facialiste

So, whether you’re spending this day with a partner, friends, family, or solo, it is important to remember to recognize and appreciate all your hard work and achievements. Use this Valentine’s Day as an opportunity to celebrate yourself in addition to those you love. Whether it’s spending time with your closest friends, decorating your apartment to a hand-crafted playlist, sweating it out in a Kalon class with your partner, or gifting yourself a Tiffany’s blue box, you deserve to do something special for yourself this February 14th.

After all—you’re in Paris, the most romantic city in the world!
